September Art Project / day twenty-two / coffee lovin' inspiration

words to live by
I know there are a lot of coffee lovers out there.

Who is with me?!

Oh, and I don't agree completely...

Strong, black coffee should ALSO contain a large, heavy-handed dose of half & half!

September Art Project / day eleven

hubby, coffee, drawing. i just forgot the chocolate.
Just something fun I whipped up when Brian and I were hanging out drawing again. The ONLY problem with art dates for date night is that we don't talk a whole lot! I still think they are super fun.

It's like being alone, but together.

Introverts...you know what I'm talking about?

desert southwest road trip 2013

Hiking adventure. Pretty to look at. Don't touch!
The kids and I went on a road trip to visit the Grandparents who are 'snowbirding' in Truth or Consequences, NM this winter.

Hot springs, desert hikes, visiting the Rio Grande, window shopping on the main street - pretty exciting stuff happening in the TORC.

Except for almost visiting the local hospital due to asthma, it was a pretty great trip.

Plants in sunny window sill? Yes.
An example of something to avoid on a desert hike.
Old books. Yummy.
Time to work on those Baby Hiking Muscles.
Like to visit random small town libraries? I do.

Old service station.
Old business sign mural. Love.

Window display.
No texting while driving! Pix? Totally okay.

You need to visit (all of which can be done on a detour off the freeway through town):

Riverbend Hotsprings
Relax in your own private hotspring with a view of the Rio Grande. That's just cool.

Passion Pie Cafe
Best coffee in town. Super strong, the way it's meant to be.

Black Cat Books & Coffee
Great selection of used books. Best carrot cake ever!

Here are a few pix of our trip.

a drawing a day : Week Three

Scene from Coffee Shop Window
Coffee Shop, Scene 2
When I challenged myself to a drawing a day, who was I kidding?

But really, it has a much nicer ring to it than 'a drawing once or twice a week maybe three times if I'm lucky'.

But nevertheless, I persevere in my not too worried about the exact details kind of way.

Here are a few from this week.
